NFL PICKS! Week 13

In my homestretch prediction, I foresee New England beating the Seahawks in Super Bowl LI. Yes, even after the loss of Rob Gronkowski.

Last Week: 12-4
Year to date: 108-69 (.610)

(Home team denoted in bold. Bye week teams: Tennessee and Cleveland. It is absurd that some teams have to wait until December to get a week off #ThanksGoodell)

Thursday, December 1

Dallas (10-1) 23, Minnesota (6-5) 20
The Vikings are 1-5 after being the last undefeated team in the league. Now they are in danger of becoming just the sixth team to start a season 5-0 or better, yet miss the playoffs. Predicted finishes: Dallas, 14-2 and lose NFC Championship; Minnesota, 9-7 and miss playoffs.

Sunday, December 4

New Orleans (5-6) 32, Detroit (7-4) 26
The Saints offense is so prolific, every game they play in is a shootout. This one will be fun between Drew Brees and Matt Stafford. Predicted finishes: Detroit, 10-6 and lose NFC Wild Card; New Orleans, 7-9 and miss playoffs.

New England (9-2) 24, Los Angeles (4-7) 17
I don't know what Stan Kroenke is waiting on with Jeff Fisher. His team is about to have its fifth straight losing season, and the Rams defense just gave up 49 points against their defensive coordinator's former team. Predicted finishes: Los Angeles, 5-11 and miss playoffs; New England, 14-2 and Super Bowl LI Champions.

Denver (7-4) 26, Jacksonville (2-9) 20
The Jaguars are a great team for Paxton Lynch to possibly make his NFL debut against. However, after a two-game stretch against the AFC South the Broncos finish their season against the Patriots, Chiefs and Raiders. Predicted finishes: Denver, 9-7 and miss playoffs; Jacksonville, 2-14 and miss playoffs.

San Francisco (1-10) 26, Chicago (2-9) 24
If the Bears play as poorly on offense against the 49ers as they did against the Titans, Colin Kaepernick may finally get his first win of 2016. Predicted finishes: San Francisco, 3-13 and miss playoffs; Chicago 2-14 and miss playoffs.

Green Bay (5-6) 23, Houston (6-5) 21
The Texans are making the AFC South race interesting, and a loss to the trying-to-be-resurgent Packers could result in a three-way tie atop Houston's division come Tuesday morning. Predicted finishes: Houston, 10-6 and lose AFC Wild Card; Green Bay, 9-7 and miss playoffs.

Atlanta (7-4) 26, Kansas City (8-3) 24
Good news for the Chiefs: Kansas City is 4-0 within the AFC West. The bad news: Atlanta doesn't play in the NFC West. Predicted finishes: Kansas City, 12-4 and lose in AFC Divisional Round; Atlanta, 12-4 and lose in NFC Divisional Round.

Baltimore (6-5) 21, Miami (7-4) 20
Last week I suggested that Miami's then-five game win streak wasn't as impressive as it looked on surface level. The Dolphins then proved that by almost losing to one-win San Francisco. The Ravens will win easily. Predicted finishes: Miami, 8-8 and miss playoffs; Baltimore, 10-6 and lose AFC Divisional Round.

Philadelphia (5-6) 23, Cincinnati (3-7-1) 19
The Eagles' season is just about over - trailing the Cowboys by five games and the Giants by three, but they should hold on for a win against an even more hopeless Bengals squad. Predicted finishes: Philadelphia, 6-10 and miss playoffs; Cincinnati, 4-11-1 and miss playoffs.

Oakland (9-2) 27, Buffalo (6-5) 26
The Raiders are getting closer and closer to their first playoff berth since 2002 and are still unstoppable at home. Predicted finishes: Buffalo, 8-8 and miss playoffs; Raiders, 13-3 and lose AFC Championship.

Tampa Bay (6-5) 27, San Diego (5-6) 26
OK, I'm convinced. I've gone back and forth about the Buccaneers but they've beaten Kansas City and Seattle convincingly in the past two weeks. Tampa will make the playoffs. Predicted finishes: Tampa Bay, 10-6 and lose NFC Divisional Round; San Diego, 6-10 and miss playoffs.

Pittsburgh (6-5) 28, Giants (8-3) 21
The Steelers are back on track after Thanksgiving, and have had an extra three days to prepare for the red-hot Giants. This will be one of the better games of the NFL season, but there's something to say about that Heinz Field advantage in December. Predicted finishes: Giants, 10-6 and lose NFC Wild Card; Pittsburgh, 10-6 and lose AFC Wild Card.

Arizona (4-6-1) 24, Washington (6-4-1) 23
The Cardinals, playoffs hopes all but dwindled, will look to play spoiler at home against Washington. Predicted finishes: Washington, 9-6-1 and miss playoffs, Arizona, 7-8-1 and miss playoffs.

Seattle (7-3-1) 23, Carolina (4-7) 21
The 12's will be ready to boo Cam Newton for a solid three hours after what happened at the end of last year's game between the two teams. Predicted finishes: Carolina, 6-10 and miss playoffs; Seattle, 11-4-1 and lose Super Bowl LI.

Monday, December 5

Indianapolis (5-6) 24, Jets (3-8) 23
The Colts should get a relieving win against the lackluster New York Jets in another Monday Night snoozefest. Predicted finishes: Indianapolis, 7-9 and miss playoffs; Jets, 4-12 and miss playoffs.
